GUY DAWSON
Guy was admitted in 1968 and has experienced the transition of legal practice from typewriters to computers and internet-based legal services. His wide experience in all facets of the law, including drafting documentation for many major organisations, combined with his wide commercial experience has resulted in sound, practical, client-oriented publications, the hallmark of the By Lawyers for Lawyers products. As CEO and Editorial Director of By Lawyers for Lawyers Pty Limited, his commitment is to providing practice-based rather than academic works, making the practice of law simpler, safer and more profitable.
DANNI LARNEY
Danni is the Managing Director of By Lawyers for Lawyers. She has a background in merchant banking and journalism, where her communication and research skills were developed. As Guy Dawson’s partner she has worked in law offices now for many years, conducting a wide variety of matters and gaining conveyancing qualifications. She is the primary contact point for all authors, to whom she provides constant support and guidance particularly in the tricky area of IT. Danni’s research abilities and writing skills see her writing and editorial role play an important part in the overall organisation of the company.
KATE EASON
Kate is the Precedent Manager for By Lawyers for Lawyers. Kate is a licensed conveyancer and distinction level law student. Kate has a strong focus on attention to detail.
ALIKI DARLOW
Aliki acquired specialist legal skills as a corporate and commercial lawyer in England and Australia before turning to knowledge management, holding positions in leading Sydney firms. She brings to By Lawyers many years of experience in drafting precedents, monitoring and summarising legislative developments, providing legal research support and preparing legal guides.
MICHELLE MCINTYRE
Michelle brings her expertise as an editor and web content developer to the By Lawyers online publications. Michelle spent several years as a Hansard reporter in federal and state parliaments. A Master of Technology (Internet and Web Computing) took her in a new direction, working in roles ranging from systems architect to general web site developer. Her current role in web content publishing draws on her various skills in the publication of a quality product appropriate to an online context.
JOHN NEWBURY
John works in the Precedent Team. He is an experienced proofreader and former teacher, who is keen on correct formatting and effective language use.
PAUL MAHER
Paul works with the precedents team. He has a degree in law, will shortly be admitted, and has a wide experience in general practice.
BEV MICHEL
Bev is our dedicated proofreader, with a great eye for detail.
